Recently the Government of India has started taking online beneficiary Registration for Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandna Yojana to provide financial grants to pregnant and lactating mothers to improve the health and nutrition for mother and child as well as compensation for wage loss.
Under the PMMVY, the benefit is available to a woman for the first two living children provided the second child is a girl. In the first case a beneficiary will get 5000 rupees in two installments and in the second child benefit of Rs. 6000 will be given in one installment but the case here is that the second child should be a girl.

Eligibility Criteria for PMMVY Online Registration in Assam
- Applicants should be permanent residents of Assam.
- Mother Should not be in regular Employment with Central or State Government.
- Applicants should not be employed in Public Sector Undertaking or any organised sector.
- Benefits can be availed using only Aadhar Card so that duplicate form can be avoided.
- Family income should be less than 8 lakh per annum
